reputation carries to other versions in terms trustworthiness.
Neither Sam nor Dean had their Lucifer possess Nick for majority of the
time on their Earth; it stands to reason that Sam be the face of Lucifer
for them forevermore. Only time can repair the damage that is at all
salvageable. Neither of them will ask her to but it stands to reason Lucy
will need to stick her nose into their business more. Second and third and
fourth chances will flow from there. Sam also has Ruby to reinforce that he
shouldn't leave things to stay the way they are with Dean. Ruby will
continue to be a support. The brothers will have to figure out the rest
themselves.
